All pupils at Manorfield Primary School have access to online learning via Google Classroom. Through Google Classroom and Google Meet, pupils have live lessons with their class teacher throughout the day and are set work in line with our curriculum.

Google Classroom Parents Guide
When your child is not using Google Classroom at home, they should extend their learning by using the Oak Academy website https://www.thenational.academy/ and follow pupils > lessons > schedule > year group to access Maths, English and other curriculum subject resources linked to children’s learning in class. The schedule is updated weekly with daily lessons provided.
To compliment your child's online learning, we are providing CGP revision books (with answers), to every child in Year 2 and above. These books are a fantastic opportunity for your children to develop their understanding in key areas of the curriculum, however they will benefit further if they receive your support at home to work on these regularly.
Please understand these books are designed to be used over the academic year, and are there to enhance the learning that is being taught in school. Please use these books once per week, or only more often in the event of a quarantine period. They will certainly help your child improve their confidence in all areas of their learning, and support the learning taking place in class.
If you have any queries about these books, please speak to the Assistant Headteacher for UKS2, Mr Gordon.
Furthermore, each child has an Education City and Timetable Rockstars login and we also encourage EYFS and KS1 pupils to access our Manorfield YouTube channel for daily phonics and HFW activities.

White Rose Summer Term Maths!
White Rose Maths have been working closely with the BBC Bitesize Daily Maths team to make a clear learning plan for the summer term. We all agree that it’s vital for children to be as well-prepared as possible for their next school year. To help make this happen, White Rose Maths have set out a 12-week learning plan that means children can:
- make sure they understand the main concepts they need for their work next year
- cover any new learning that they have not yet have done in school.

The end of the TT Rockstars Rock Slam draws closer – This ones finishes at 5pm on Sunday.
There is definitely enough time for us to make a comeback and take victory in many categories!
Which challenge will you accept?
Challenge 1- any child under 1,000 points is to get to at least 1,000 points – by the end of the day today!
Challenge 2- any child over 1,000 is to get to at least 5,000 points – by the end of the day today – this will give you a chance of being in the top 50 of pupils overall across all schools!
Challenge 3- anyone above 5,000 – you have a real chance of getting into the top 10 of all pupils, so you should be aiming for closer to 15,000 – 20,000 points at least! – but every extra point they get counts.
Obviously, the more you get, the higher up you will be – Mr Jackson would love to fill the top 10 with Manorfield children!

04/04/2020- Book Review Project!
While you are all hopefully enjoying your weekend, I just wanted to let you know about our new ‘Book Review’ project- I’ve attached a link below to the page. We still want to engage children with reading as much as we can whilst schools are temporarily and partially closed, and have decided to invite children aged 5-16 years to write a review of a book that they have read. Each week, we will select a review to publish on our website! It is a great way to engage the children both at school and those at home, please feel free to forward this on to other parents with children at home who might be interested.
